Keyur & Bhumi
24 October 2016
My parents were at Canada with my sister. They were insisting me to get married and settle down. I too agreed with them. We collected matchmaking magazines of our community, informed our close relatives to refer a match and I got registered with Shaadi.com which is India's no. 1 matchmaking service. My sister used to operate my Shaadi.com account. Here my close relatives and in Canada my family started to work upon it. Few days prior to Diwali festival my sister called and asked me to check Bhumi's profile on Shaadi.com. She added that Bhumi has liked my profile so I should respond if I was okay with it. I checked her profile and found it okay to proceed further. I never knew that this auspicious occasion is showering blessings on me. I was not aware that this is the one who is going to be my better- half. It was beginning of November 2015. I initiated and wrote her an email. She responded to my Shaadi.com profile and asked me to send my Bio-data. I sent her my Bio-data through an email. These all happened in a weeks time. Post Diwali I went on a vacation for leisure at Kerala. Almost it was third week of November. I saw her mail she wanted to see my latest photographs which I sent her through an email and I also asked to check my profile on Facebook. My family and I had her information on her Shaadi.com profile. Meanwhile, my parents inquired about her family background through our family friends. It was very easy for them to do so because we belong to same caste and have common hometown. After satisfactory response from our family friends, my parents asked me to talk with her so that we can know each other. Festivals have showered enormous blessings on our relationship because during Christmas we started our sequel of communications. This time it was more frequent and more prominent. We started with What's App chat and What's App calls. Our chatting was now not only in words but also in lines. Our What's App call started with seconds ....then minute and hours..... During this communication I got more attracted to her not only because of her transparency but also for her honesty. She shared everything about her past. We used to talk everyday, before she left for the job and after she returned home. I liked her few more qualities during this period. Those qualities were: she listened, she cared, she shared, she was independent and very supportive. I started feeling that if everything goes well she is the one with whom I can spend rest of my life. She came to India on 29th January 2016. The moment I came to know that she is coming here, I was on cloud nine. I was eagerly waiting for her. We went on a dinner date on 31st January 2016. I started liking her more. She was spontaneous, understanding and confident. Finally , a day came ... the day was end of my waits ... it was Valentine's Day. She came with her family and they endorsed our relationship. Now formally we were engaged. We went on a dinner date again this time, it was official. Since she was here in India for a few more weeks so we decided to get married as early as possible. My father was already here in India but my mother and my sister's family was at Canada. They came immediately for my wedding for a very short duration. The most important day of our Life was planned on 5th March 2016. She became my wife on 5th March, 2016. I felt like I was on the top of the world. Our wedding was solemnized in presence of family and friends in town's renowned restaurant- Blueberry Restaurant. We love beauty of the nature ... so we planned our honeymoon in the lap of nature. We went to Himachal Pradesh (Simla, Dalhousie, Dharamshala) on 21stMarch 2016. We returned on 31st March 2016. It was memorable! The trip which I can not forget for life. Thanks Shaadi.com for your services.
